WWW.BANNEDPROMOTIONS.COM (2006-2010) RIP
Formerly known as one of the most popular music "e-zine" websites in Missouri, www.BannedPromotions.com passed away August 5th at his home in Malden, MO due to complications of people not giving a shit.
Survivors include brothers SemoScene.com (Cape Girardeau, MO), RecordingReview.com (Scott City, MO), and BoneheadNation.com (Kennett, MO). BP was preceded in death by his brother CapeScene.com in 2008.
BP had many highlights over his short-lived yet doomed to fail life, including interviewing rock stars and childhood icons David Ellefson of Megadeth, Barrett Martin of Mad Season/Screaming Trees, Tommy Victor of Prong, and Marc Storace of Krokus, famous actress/model April Scott, members of bands such as Anthrax, Black Label Society, Black Oak Arkansas, and Deep Purple, XM radio host Jose Mangin, former Urge vocalist Steve Ewing, Metal Blade Records CEO Brian Slagel, many up and coming bands including Powder Mill, Zach Williams & The Reformation, Thorlock, Prosevere, One Less Reason, John D. Hale Band, Finding Jimmy Hoffa, and many others bands (big and small - good and bad), producers, dj's, promoters, and others involved in the music scene.
BP gave three heavy metal festivals to the Southeast Missouri area, from 2007-2009. Known as "Metal Madness," the shows consisted of kick ass hard rock, heavy metal, death metal, black metal, and goth bands. Unfortunately, BP recognized shortly thereafter that the God-fearing citizens of Southeast Missouri didn't particularly give a monkey's ass for hard rock, heavy metal, death metal, black metal, and goth bands. Thus, the series of shows ended abruptly in 2009.
This obituary would be much longer, however 97% of people quit reading after complications of not giving a shit.
Condolences may be sent to the family at info@bannedpromotions.com.
And for those of you who kept reading..... throughout the years..... thank you for giving a shit.
